Solar Lighting International is a pioneer in hurricane-resistant solar street lighting. When a hurricane-prone area invests in solar power, it needs to be an asset that will keep reaping dividends – no matter how extreme the weather is.
Installing a solar panel onto a pole adds a wind shear challenge. By using mono-crystalline panels, high wind top of pole solar panel racks, adjusting the pole thickness, and burial method, Solar Lighting International® can guarantee systems with a proven track record during hurricane Maria and hurricane Dorian with zero pole or solar lighting system failures. Solar Lighting International develops the best solar lighting systems, which are the epitome of durability and performance in our industry. We hope your experience is stellar and appreciate your feedback and photos. We are committed to developing the best solar LED lighting available and listening to the needs and wants of our clients.
Our light poles are rated up to 180 MPH. Click the image above to see the Engineering Certificate.
The Ultimate Hurricane-Resistant Light Design
Fed up with the quality in the industry, we decided to take a different road.
Our Research and Design Center in Lancaster, SC went back to the drawing board.
We started by optimizing the LED configurations and lighting spread. We’re able to offer a wide array of light colors to come closer to matching your existing installations and reduce eye-strain on drivers. This also allowed us to offer the best lighting coverage with the lest amount of power draw, creating a more efficient lamp.
We use the Phillips 190 lumen-per-watt LED chips in our manufacturing.
Knowing that most of our clients live in harsh climates, we built our lamps with added ventilation to prevent overheating. Specifically, we designed the ventilation to discourage dust deposits from settling on the lamp.
We also focused on creating a better charge controller. Our charge controller allows for more efficient energy management to stretch the lifespan of your batteries and allow you to capture more electricity for every minute of sunshine.
We then stand behind our with a 5-year warranty on the entire luminaire.
Whether you need 10 solar lighting systems or 1,000, we can deliver your next project.
Solar Lighting International’s street lamp systems for parking lots and highways come in many options: 7400 lumens, 14800 lumens, and our new 22200 lumens for standard fixtures.
Our charge controller uses patented MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) charging technology. This allows our controller to increase charge current by up to 30% more over conventional solar charge controllers. More power for less cost!
This added current capacity enables us to manage better, store, and conserve energy which means you get the most out of each solar panel.
We also can network these solar charge controllers together. This gives up to 8 controllers the capacity to communicate with one another and act as a single controller. This works great for Smart City Technology.
It doesn’t matter if you are a relief agency, a contractor, a municipality, or a small business. Our lamps work in parking lots, on busy highways, walkways , and in those critical beachfront locations where the tourists will be flocking to.
We are excited to offer a light that is designed for our kids and grandkids to enjoy.
